Student Leadership

At Booragoon Primary School, we believe that every student has the capacity to lead, influence, and contribute meaningfully to our school community. The BPS Student Leadership program is an integral part of our strategy to achieve our school vision—empowering students to be confident, connected, and actively engaged learners.
We value student voice because it builds agency, strengthens relationships, and fosters a culture of respect and inclusion. When students are given opportunities to lead, they develop essential skills such as communication, collaboration, empathy, and resilience. Leadership at Booragoon is not just about holding a title—it’s about making a difference.

Our school offers a diverse range of leadership opportunities including the opportunity for students to nominate for leadership program positions. The leadership program promotes the skills, values and attitudes needed for effective leadership to make a positive contribution to our school community.

Through these roles and everyday acts of leadership, our students learn to take initiative, solve problems, and work collaboratively to improve our school. We are proud of the way our students lead with integrity, kindness, and a strong sense of purpose.
To develop leadership and organisational skills which contribute to student welfare by promoting cooperation, resilience and teamwork.
